More about Andy… Andy Reid has served for 15 years with 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment. He has now left the army after 2 years of rehabilitation after the severe injuries he received while serving in Sangin District, Afghanistan in October 2009. As a result of the explosion he lost both legs and his right arm. He is receiving on going treatment for his left arm, which was also damaged and is now fitted with a metal plate. He is also involved with The Soldiers Charity, meeting amazing and inspirational people who push themselves to their physical and mental limit to raise much-needed funds. Andy might be a triple amputee but he doesn’t let this stop him from living the life he loves.
